Archaeology dig: My Bamburgh Diary

Student dig diary. What it's like to dig at Bamburgh Castle. Experiences of archaeology at the foremost ancient site in Northumberland UK, Bamburgh Castle. Bamburgh was the capital fortress and palace of the Northumbrian Earls and has been occupied for well over 5000 years. Archaeology Excavations have revealed, swords, chainmail, gold artefacts and even a throne fragment. We have a summer field school starting in June so for more details go to www.bamburghresearchproject.co.uk
