Sunrise on the Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu is sometimes called the "Lost City of the Incas" is a well-preserved pre-Columbian Inca ruin located on a high mountain ridge.
It is said that Machu Picchu is a place of great spirituality, and the ultimate spiritual moment of the day happens at sunrise.

The footage (about 45 minutes) was accelerated and compressed to about a minute to show the progress and dynamics of the sunrise.

History of Machu Picchu

Machu Picchu was constructed around 1460, at the height of the Inca Empire. It was abandoned less than 100 years later. It is likely that most of its inhabitants were wiped out by smallpox before the Spanish conquistadores arrived in the area and there is no record of their having known of the remote city.
