This film shows the 2007 Oregon State University Archaeology Field School excavation at the American Bar site in the Salmon River canyon of western Idaho. Film production involved a pole mounted camera with an intervalometer set to capture a digital image every 60 seconds. The film includes more than 16,000 digital photos shot over a seven week period. Archaeology excavation is best known and most commonly used within the science of archaeology. In this sense it is the exposure, processing and recording of archaeological remains.
