Bet She'An, Israel - A Great Archaeological Dig

One of the greatest archeology digs has been underway here since the 1920s. The city was laid to waste by an earthquake, and it constantly yields fascinating artifacts. Nearby is Ceasaria. A mountain top fortress built by King Herod, a heroic stand was made here against the Romans. It is a symbol for the state. A cable car brings you to the top to reveal a panoramic view. It is the home of Israels first synagogue.
